SML College Coordinator

Co-ordinator in a Democratic Learning Community

A genuinely diverse co-ordinating role has come available at Self Managed Learning College
(SML College) as the current incumbent is moving abroad.
SML College is unique in supporting young people to manage their own learning. Our 40
students, aged between 9 and 17, decide for themselves what, how, why, where and when
they want to learn. Our role as adults at the College in assisting this learning is subtle but
crucial.

We do not have a principal, head teacher or director of the College as we work as a
community. This role calls for someone to co-ordinate the day-to-day running of the
College and be at the forefront of the its development as we look to move to bigger and
better premises and to expand our work.
Salary £33,000 p.a. plus pension. We are open to creative possibilities in filling this role.
For more information please email David Lilly, Co-ordinator, on david@smlcollege.org.uk.
For a phone inquiry you may call the Chair of Governors, Dr Ian Cunningham, on 07850
