Teachers/Assistants/ Facilitators/Subs for Brooklyn Coops Needed

CottageClass is helping a few parents to find lead teachers/assistants/ facilitators/subs for their homeschool coops in Brooklyn (Carroll Gardens, Brighton Beach, Park Slope and Dumbo). Salary is commensurate with experience, but generally runs between $15/hr (for an assistant) to $45/hr for an experienced teacher. Coops are 2-3 days a week/4-5 hours a day.

The ideal candidate is passionate about facilitating children's natural curiosity and love of learning. Early childhood experience a plus, but it is more important that this person is nurturing, alive and excited to share their worldly wisdom than that they have a degree in teaching! Ability to support independent learners through being present as a resource, but not dictating-rules  a MUST.

This is a great opportunity to get practice at starting your own school/testing out innovative teaching ideas, with a little more stability and structure build in.

Interested candidates can contact Manisha Snoyer at  manisha@cottageclass.com
