Ridge and Valley Charter School Seeks Infrastructure Coordinator

Infrastructure Coordinator Ridge and Valley Charter School (RVCS) is seeking a visionary leader focused in particular on the development, maintenance, cultivation, and integration of the physical and cultural environment of RVCS, grounded in principles of permaculture and holistic management. In addition to ongoing collaboration with the Leadership Team and trustees to advance Ridge and Valley Charter School’s mission of education for a hopeful sustainable future, the Infrastructure Coordinator guides the community in stewardship of the school land, cultivated gardens and orchards, and physical structures. The Coordinator integrates with the LandCare, Facilities, and Finance Committees, guides, teams, and students, and RVCS vendors to maintain and develop mutually-enhancing relationships in support of a thriving, safe, and healthy learning community. 
Desirable qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, permaculture, ecology, or related fields; experience with gardening, orchard management, or agriculture; practical skills in design, maintenance, and repair; experience with children and outdoor education; experience working in collaborative teams; excellent communication skills. Ridge and Valley Charter School, a K-8 public school in NW New Jersey, cultivates interconnectedness by immersing children in the natural world through an innovative outdoor experiential, project-based curriculum, with an integrated ecological and sustainable living focus. Center for Partnership Studies, Partnership Studies Group Seeking Digital Communications Assistant

The Center for Partnership Studies, a 501(c)3, is seeking a part-time team member for 7-10 hrs/week, Monday-Friday starting in October 2020. Work from home: 100% virtual work. This is a 1099 contractor position, reporting to the Co-Directors of the Partnership Studies Group. Work with CPS staff to support outreach communications and event marketing, maintain website and blog, manage archives of video and written materials, and provide technical/administrative support. This is entry level—and there is room to grow!

You are passionate about progressive cultural systems change and familiar with Eisler’s domination/partnership and caring economy principles. You are a strong digital communicator, with the ability to produce excellent written copy in concert with thoughtfully selected visual imagery.  You are detail-oriented, with strong interpersonal communication skills and the flexibility to manage multiple and sometimes shifting deadlines. Experience with WordPress, Zoom, Google Docs, all social media platforms, YouTube, and e-newsletter development preferred.  We welcome candidates of diverse backgrounds. 

Required skills:

  • Excellent written and visual communicator
  • Experience in digital communications or digital marketing
  • Organized, interested in creating systems for cataloging, storage, and management of multi-media content on several channels
  • Eye for detail and awareness of larger vision and organizational goals
  • Ability to work effectively with a virtual team – good interpersonal communication skills
  • Caring, responsive, conscientious collaborator, able to model partnership
  • Ability to learn new online tools quickly
  • Self-directed and flexible, able to manage multiple projects and tasks.
  • Experience with WordPress website and blog backends.
  • Some experience with database entry and reports

Preferred Skills:

  • Content creation, writing and editing, proofreading
  • Graphic design: creation of graphic materials for online and social media: static digital assets, and event promotions
  • Image curating
  • Experience with online project management tools
  • Video editing
  • Supporting evaluative reports and data management

Commitment: 7-10 hours/week, no more than 40 hours/month

Compensation: $20/hr, contractor position

Supervision: Work and training under the supervision of CPS’s Partnership Studies Group Co-Directors.

Location: Remote position, candidates based in the US preferred
