I started, and ran for ten years, a successful alternative educational non-profit – Brooklyn Free School. Along the way I met and got to know many others who have been working on doing similar things. And today, with the increasingly standardized and inflexible educational system we have, many more individuals and groups are working to create alternatives. I believe there is a need for targeted assistance to help these alternatives become viable and sustainable programs and communities.
My experience building BFS coupled with prior business, finance and operational experiences will help me to help you become more sustainable by working with you on areas such as these:
