We are an independent K-12 situated in Ann Arbor, Michigan. We believe students learn best when they can take ownership of their education while having guidance from close mentors. We focus on three main educational pillars. We provide the student with the&nbsp;<em>autonomy<\/em>&nbsp;to follow their innate strengths, talents, interests, and curiosities; we develop deep&nbsp;<em>relationships<\/em>&nbsp;between the student and their peers, faculty, family, and surrounding community; and we challenge the student to gain&nbsp;<em>competence<\/em>&nbsp;for whatever future they desire.\n<\/div>\n<div>\n\t&nbsp;\n<\/div>\n<div>\n\tClonlara School is seeking a full-time Science and Math Faculty for the Olders program (9th-12th grade) for the 2016-2017 year. The ideal candidate will have these minimum qualifications:\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tBachelors Degree in Education, Science, or Math\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tAt least 3 years teaching experience in the classroom or alternative teaching endeavors.\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tExperience teaching a plethora of other subjects (music, game theory, psychology, underwater basket weaving, social skills, etc.)\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tExperience teaching in a project-based, student-centered, or place-based setting\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tExperience planning and leading trips in an outdoor setting\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n\tThe Science and Math Faculty has the following core responsibilities:\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tTeach instructor-led courses per semester based off of the interests and needs of the students\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tAdvise and mentor students in academic and personal planning\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tFoster community by developing events and programs with the school as a whole\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tWork collaboratively with a team of teachers\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div>\n\tAny interested candidate may send a cover letter, resume, and references to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:employment@clonlara.org\" target=\"_blank\">employment@clonlara.org<\/a>&nbsp; by&nbsp;<span data-term=\"goog_153367849\" tabindex=\"0\">Friday, May 6<\/span>.\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Clonlara School is seeking a full time high school math\/science teacher.
