\n\tThe Knowing Garden is looking for a Part-Time Teacher in our 7-9 year old class.  This teacher is a creative educator responsible for preparing constructivist and whole-child lesson plans in coordination with the lead teacher and TKG’s students.  The teacher also develops and implements outdoor and nature-based lessons and activities.\n<\/div>\n
\n\t \n<\/div>\n
\n\tThe TKG co-teacher is familiar with Core Standards concepts as well as progressive field practices and procedures.  Our teacher reports to the Lead Teacher and Parent Board of Directors in a flexible and self-directed environment.\n<\/div>\n
\n\t \n<\/div>\n
\n\tProfessional requirements:<\/strong>\n<\/div>\n
\n\tBachelor’s Degree\n<\/div>\n
\n\tMultiple Subject Teaching Credential\n<\/div>\n
\n\t2 Years Professional experience in field or related area\n<\/div>\n
\n\t \n<\/div>\n
\n\tKey tasks related to Students and the Educational Program<\/strong>\n<\/div>\n
\n\t \n<\/div>\n
\n\t1.     Prepare lesson plans, unit studies and support academic year goals\n<\/div>\n
\n\t2.     Support Orientation Meeting\n<\/div>\n
\n\t3.     Advise on Field Trip plans\n<\/div>\n
\n\t4.     Maintain Written Assessments and provides portfolio access for each student\n<\/div>\n
\n\t \n<\/div>\n
\n\tKey tasks related to the Board<\/strong>\n<\/div>\n
\n\t \n<\/div>\n
\n\t1.   Reports periodically on all classroom status\n<\/div>\n
\n\t \n<\/div>\n
\n\tKey tasks related to Staff & Volunteers<\/strong>\n<\/div>\n
\n\t \n<\/div>\n
\n\t1.     Coordinates with Volunteer Coordinator regarding needs and feedback\n<\/div>\n
\n\t2.   Supports channels of communication with parents, students, teacher\n<\/div>\n
\n\t \n<\/div>\n
\n\tKey tasks related to the Community<\/strong>\n<\/div>\n
\n\t \n<\/div>\n
\n\t1.   Participates in appropriate community organizations and functions to obtain support for the attainment of school goals\n<\/div>\n
\n\t2. Supports Fundraising events and efforts\n<\/div>\n
\n\t \n<\/div>\n
\n\t \n<\/div>\n
\n\t \n<\/div>\n
