Second Start Alternative High School is seeking an engaging and commanding certified classroom teacher to teach in a special education setting for the 2020-21 school year.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

A strong candidate will be willing to teach multiple subject areas using a competency-based model that eliminates time as a factor and who embraces engagement with cross-curricular instruction and project-based assessment.\u00a0 Additional ideal characteristics are possessing large amounts of both humor and patience as our students are frequently frustrated and often frustrating.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>

Our approach is to help previously unsuccessful high school students find their path to being better learners and making a successful transition to life after school.\u00a0 Earning their diploma is just one step along the way.\u00a0
