Art Therapist in harmony with SDE<\/strong>
Position Function:<\/strong>Working 1:1 with student, age 10 with high complexity special needs. Offering therapy in accord with education program that supports creativity, freedom and inclusive collaboration. ALC education model.
Position Responsibilities:<\/strong>\u2022 Review student assessments in order to understand functioning and needs\u2022 Develop therapy goals\u2022 Design and offer a variety of activities that reflect knowledge of child development and SDE and are tailored to meet therapy goals\u2022 Collaborate with parents, teachers and therapists\u2022 Provide reports documenting work and progress\u2022 Complete billing invoices
Schedule:<\/strong>2pm-5pm Wednesdays and Fridays
Location:<\/strong>Gramercy Park (New York, NY)
Required:<\/strong>6 month commitment (minimum)2+ years experience 
Pay Rate:<\/strong>New York City market rate

Special needs SDE Facilitator, after school hours<\/strong>
Position Function:<\/strong>Working 1:1 with student, age 10 with high complexity special needs. Facilitating after school activities in accord with education program that supports creativity, freedom and inclusive collaboration. ALC education model.
Position Responsibilities:<\/strong>\u2022 Review student assessments and study plan in order to understand functioning and needs of child\u2022 Assist student in all activities of daily living\u2022 Design activities that reflect knowledge of child development and SDE\u2022 Facilitate activities of the afternoon (open the afternoon \/ set intentions, work through cycles of intention, creation, reflection and sharing, close the day \/ gratitude circle)\u2022 Provide opportunity for movement: taking walks, playground and museum visits, dancing etc.\u2022 Collaborate with parents, teachers and therapists\u2022 Record progress\u2022 Complete billing invoices (1 per week)
Schedule:<\/strong>2pm-5pm Wednesdays and Fridaysadditional hours possible
Location:<\/strong>Gramercy Park (New York, NY)
Required:<\/strong>6 month commitment (minimum)2+ years experience working with children with multiple physical and developmental needs
Pay Rate:<\/strong>$50\/hr
