Interviews will begin immediately, with selection occurring as soon as possible, with a Feb. 1 deadline.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Qualifications:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience working with children<\/li>\n<li>Comfortable working with children ages 4-14<\/li>\n<li>Strong leadership and communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Flexible and adaptable<\/li>\n<li>Understands emergent curriculum and child-centered philosophy<\/li>\n<li>Can do basic bookkeeping<\/li>\n<li>Enjoys being in nature with kids<\/li>\n<li>CPR and first aid certified<\/li>\n<li>Water safety training<\/li>\n<li>Background check<\/li>\n<li>Clean driving record<\/li>\n<li>Minimum age 25, as required by our insurance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span class=\"il\">Job<\/span>\u00a0Responsibilities:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Supervise counselors<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with counselors of daily plan<\/li>\n<li>Set up daily activities and gathers supplies<\/li>\n<li>Work directly with children throughout the day<\/li>\n<li>Follow the flow of the camp schedule, yet provides flexibility<\/li>\n<li>Plan daily to weekly field trips<\/li>\n<li>Ensure that campers are immersed in nature through the activities planned<\/li>\n<li>Create a positive and safe camp culture<\/li>\n<li>Communicate with parents on a regular basis<\/li>\n<li>Uphold the Mission, Philosophy and Policies of School Around Us<\/li>\n<li>Maintain a clean and organized Camp space<\/li>\n<li>Keep track of registration, enrollment and billing.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare the payroll for the Admin Assistant, weekly<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for advertising the camp<\/li>\n<li>Respond to inquiries in a timely manner<\/li>\n<li>Meets on a regular basis with SAU support team (Amy and Beth)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Start time:<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li>Upon hiring, 2 hours\/week until\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1513617112\"><span class=\"aQJ\">June 22<\/span><\/span>.<\/li>\n<li>40 hours\/week from\u00a0<span class=\"aBn\" tabindex=\"0\" data-term=\"goog_1513617113\"><span class=\"aQJ\">June 25-Aug 31st<\/span><\/span><\/li>\n<li>Bonus program for exceeding enrollment expectation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>Please send cover letter and resume to\u00a0<a href=\"mailto:admincommittee@schoolaroundus.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">admincommittee@schoolaroundus.<wbr \/>org<\/a>.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Summer Camp Director &#8211; School Around Us School Around Us in Arundel Maine seeks a Director of the summer camp program.
