{"id":10915,"date":"2017-06-20T19:37:16","date_gmt":"2017-06-20T23:37:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.educationrevolution.org\/store\/?p=10915"},"modified":"2017-06-20T19:37:16","modified_gmt":"2017-06-20T23:37:16","slug":"job-174","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.educationrevolution.org\/store\/job-174\/","title":{"rendered":"GAIA DEMOCRATIC SCHOOL is hiring!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\t<strong>Job Title: Teacher\/Teacher&rsquo;s Aide &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tJob description\/responsibilities include: assisting in daily activities of the school including opening\/closing, meal prep, administrative duties, general cleaning, organizing, attending meetings, supporting K-12 grade students in academic, social and emotional growth through advising, teaching and tutoring students in our unique democratic environment. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tRequired Qualifications: &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n\t\tDirect experience with diverse youth and\/or collective process or democratic education\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tBackground check\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t3 references\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tOne school year commitment with three month trial\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tA driver&rsquo;s license and teacher&rsquo;s license is not required but one or both is a plus!\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\t4 year degree (BA or BS) is preferred\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\n\tQualities we are looking for in candidates: Fun, reliable, flexible, open, caring, compassionate, patient, able to &ldquo;let go&rdquo; of adult privilege, supportive of GDS mission and adult\/youth partnerships.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tPay rate: $12.00\/hourly\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHours: 4 hours per day, weekdays (M-F)August-June. Hours are somewhat flexible, to be scheduled between 9:00am and 5:30pm. Morning availability is desired.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tLocation: Minneapolis- Lowry Hill, near Walker Art Center\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tPlease Note: Current GDS Volunteers are encouraged to apply.
