The school has a rich legacy and is well respected both locally and nationally for its approach to quality progressive learning. Collaborative team teaching supports the emergent curriculum using reflective practice and creative problem-solving. Inspiration is drawn from both the progressive tradition and the schools of Reggio Emilia.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>Job Description<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tWork in a team-teaching model in planning and implementing a daily program based on the interests of the children to facilitate learning and enhance the development of the individual child according to A Child&rsquo;s Place policies and philosophy.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>Minimum Qualifications\/ Requirements<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>\n\t\tBA ECE or related fields with Early Childhood certification, PK-3.\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tGood general health. Position involves physical demands of kneeling, bending, sitting at children&rsquo;s level, walking, standing, lifting 50lb and handling equipment as well as outdoor physical activities.\n\t<\/li>\n<li>\n\t\tArts background and knowledge of the practices of Reggio Emilia and\/or Social Constructivism a plus but not required.\n\t<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\n\t<strong>Scheduling<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tStart date is Monday, August 21, 2017. Regular academic school year, full time Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm (Tuesdays to 5pm for staff meeting).\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>Salary\/ Benefits<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tStarting salary dependent on academic training, quality of experience, knowledge of integrated learning in mixed-age settings, training and special talents.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\t<strong>How to Apply<\/strong>\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tCurrent resume with cover letter to include your educational philosophy required.
