What Sir Ken Robinson Said About Summerhill

Sir Ken Robinson was a keynote speaker at the AERO conference in Portland, Oregon in 2012. He made significant contacts with people in the AERO network during his visit, talking to people until well after midnight. Here is a recent interview of Robinson in which he tell us what he thinks about Summerhill School in England.

What is your opinion of the Summerhill School?

Sir Ken: Summerhill is great. It was founded by a visionary educator called A.S. Neill in the U.K. in the early part of the 20th century. And it's still going. It's now run by his daughter. It's a very unusual school by most standards. It's relatively small compared to most public schools. It's a school where the divisions between teachers and students have been blurred.
