Originateve Holistic Learning is sponsoring the recruitment of a Holistic Chef/ Mentor for Augustana Early Learning Center in Denver Colorado. The position is a full time chef for daily breakfast, lunch and snack, Monday– Friday (7am-3pm).
Duties include (but are not limited to):
· Preparation and clean up of daily breakfast, lunch and snack for 150 students
· Weekly healthy / creative menu planning.
· Weekly food orders within budget
· Kitchen workshops with early childhood classes e.g. making pretzels, muffins, veggie castles etc.
· Incorporation of cross-disciplinary studies, into Kitchen Classroom Curriculum e.g. stories, science, art, math music etc. as well as multi-cultural flavors and textures
· Incorporation of school garden produce into menu
· Strong focus on disbursement of nutritional information and healthy food lifestyles to children and staff developing a culture of wise-living.
Compensation:
Position starts at $32,000/ year with Full Benefits
Augustana Early Learning Center is a year-round early learning program operating on the campus of Augustana Lutheran Church in Denver Colorado.
