S unbridge Institute, located in Rockland County, NY, is a Waldorf teacher training institution offering part-time programs in Waldorf teacher education and week-long summer courses in Waldorf Education.  We are looking to expand our administrative team with a new part-time Registrar, to begin immediately. This is a 20 hour/week position. Pay is $18/hour.

The Registrar is responsible for managing, overseeing, and troubleshooting all aspects of student files and transcripts. She/he is the contact person for currently-enrolled students and for alumni seeking to obtain records of their time at Sunbridge, whether in the near or distant past. She/he communicates frequently with current and former faculty around any issues pertaining to student transcripts, and is also responsible for the compliance of licensure with the State of New York and with AWSNA (Association of Waldorf Schools in North America) and the maintenance of those records. This position is also responsible for creating online summer course registration forms and registering students in these courses.

The Registrar reports directly to the Executive Director.

The Sunbridge team works in a highly collaborative manner, with decisions being advised and prepared at the team level. Proactive troubleshooting, problem-solving, and high accountability are part of the team culture and are expected. Participation at staff meetings and other meetings with staff and faculty is required. We are looking for candidates who strongly identify with our values, mission, and goals, and who are eager to contribute their ideas, energy, and skills towards strengthening Waldorf teacher education with us here at Sunbridge.

Minimum requirements and sought-after profile:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Significant experience with computer software and standard academic record-keeping processes
  • Able to prioritize projects and manage a large volume of work
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, Access)
  • Enjoys navigating the intricacies of the computer and technological world
  • Excellent communication skills
