The Foundation for Peaceful Cohabitation (Fundeconp) from Bolivia; Nuestra Escuela from Puerto Rico, and the Organizing Commission for Quality Education for Life, invites you to participate in the International Conference of Quality Education for Life on March, 18 – 20 of 2013, which will take place at the Private University of Santa Cruz (UPSA) Santa Cruz, Bolivia. You are also invited to the Second Gathering of the Americas and the Caribbean on March 21 and 22 of 2013, which will take place at the Private Technological University also in Santa Cruz, Bolivia (UTEPSA).
The two events will be framed in along Seven (7) Work Strands: Educational Quality and Management; Entrepreneurship; Art and Movement; Information and Communication Technologies; Language and Identity; Education Cities; and, Social Responsibility. The Action Strands fall under the Jacques Delors’ four (4) pillars for UNESCO, 1. Learning to BE, 2. Learning to MAKE, 3. Learning to LIVE TOGETHER, and 4. Learning to LEARN.
To this end, both events will aim to promote a debate about Modern, Alternative and Democratic Education, whilst also focusing on the establishment of links for the creation of Education Cities on the Basis of international experiences in Puerto Rico, Israel and Argentina. Similarly, we will get to learn about local experiences regarding modern education, from not-for-profit organizations, schools, municipalities and the Government of Santa Cruz. These experiences will include not only public and private education, but also the indigenous perspective and participation of Youth and Children from the Youth Forum.
We, therefore, invite you to participate, to present your work and above all to share the experiences (see Calls for Proposals) from your respective countries. The conference will have simultaneous translation into English and information on Registration Fees is available on our Website, alongside information about Accommodation and Tourism in Bolivia.
