I am seeking a Founding Associate or Co-Director for Praxis, a San Francisco Bay Area self-directed + community integrated learning environment for teens.  My goal is to open Praxis in the Fall of 2013.

I am seeking a creative, collaborative, experienced, entrepreneurial and fiscally-skilled professional with whom to collaborate on the development, realization and operation of Praxis. This is a “from-the-ground-up” project that would give you the opportunity to be a founding staff member of an innovative learning center, and a chance to be autonomous and highly creative in your work.

I am looking for someone who is as passionate about this idea as I am. I do not have any funding at this point, and need tuition revenue, and hopefully other sources of revenue, to actually open the center and pay myself and staff.

This is a project I have been refining for nearly a decade as I continue to work as a teacher and academic advisor. I am putting the word out to people I know and have recently met, and am receiving very positive feedback on the idea.

Please read the detailed description of Praxis and the Associate Director position here: Praxis Description & Position Description
Please also visit the Northstar website (northstarteens.org) to see an example of a successful center with a similar model.

I am looking for a person who is as passionate as I am about innovative learning structures and environments, and whose strengths in business and logistics can complement my strengths in working with students and implementing the overall vision.

Thank you.
