T he vision behind Cuixmala School is to provide a new standard of  excellence in education and further stimulate growth for the Coast of  Jalisco.

The mission of the school is to create a learning environment  where students master core academic subjects, where physical education  and the fine arts are indispensable and where responsible ethics and  values are woven into the curriculum to craft leaders of tomorrow.

Cuixmala School is an independent, not for profit school. The Cuixmala  School will function in three languages; English, Spanish and French. We use high energy, student-focused relevant/experiential learning. The candidate must be highly motivated, energetic, and willing to use  new teaching methods to bring the best out of every student. We also want our students to feel loved every day.

We are looking for a certified elementary school teacher/ middle school  teacher to handle classes from grade k- 7 at our multi-grade, alternative school here in Mexico. We are looking for a teacher to cover classes in their native language  of English but also require that you have a high level of fluency in Spanish.

Teachers are expected to teach up to 25 contact hours plus an  added 15 hours of planning a week. Administrative skills, drama, dance,  music and wellness teaching experience are highly desired. Candidate must also have an interest and desire to learn about  indigenous teaching techniques and feel that character development is  integral to a healthy education.

Our school is located in a remote area of Mexico surrounded by  beautiful nature and some of the nicest beaches in the world. The  nearest large city is 3 hours away so if you are a city person this position is not for you.
