P uget Sound Community School (PSCS), an innovative, state-approved private middle & high school based in Seattle’s International District, has an open Administrative Assistant position for the upcoming school year.

The Administrative Assistant works from 8:15-4:15 each school day supporting the administrative and teaching staff of the program. Under the direction of the Administrative Director, the Administrative Assistant provides service in the areas of opening and preparing the school each day, general office work, administrative support, database management, supplies inventory management, record keeping, and event planning/support. This is a salaried, 10 month, renewable school-year position with generous medical, dental, and retirement benefits. The salary, set at $20,720, will be pro-rated for the percentage of time of the August 20, 2012 – June 19, 2013 scheduled work dates the hired person is employed.

PSCS makes real and positive impacts in the lives of the youth we serve. The school was founded upon the belief that people are intrinsically compelled by their own curiosity and desires to learn, and when provided a positive and supportive environment will enthusiastically pursue meaningful and challenging tasks. PSCS staff members work together as a team to provide a nurturing, respectful and vibrant school environment for approximately 45 6th-12th grade students in a multi-age setting.
