We’re happy to announce that we have finished editing the 11 DVDs from the AERO conference, the most we’ve ever done. This represents 22 hours of tapes made at the conference, including keynotes, and some popular workshops.

We have had a limited number of copies of the DVDs made and orders from those who reserved them already will be sent out first, followed by those who order now. Those who wait to order may have to wait for a second pressing.

1. Zoe Readhead Keynote This includes a video of Summerhill that she showed, her general presentation, and the question and answer period afterward.

2. Jon Gatto Keynote This presentation by John Gatto (his 5th for AERO!) is entitled "War in the Shadows: The Silent Struggle Between Spinoza Model Schooling and Open Source Learning"

3. Matt Hern Keynote This keynote is entitled "Watch Yourself: Why Safer Isn't Always Better" It is related to his new book on the same topic and very eye opening!

4. Arnie Langberg Keynote His topic is "Transform Your Public School: Lynn Stoddard and I Did It; You Can Too" It includes a short video and many stories with a question and answer period after..

5. Joel Spring Keynote/ Widening the Circle Keynote Panel Joel Spring’s keynote was called "A New Paradigm for Global Education." Widening the Circle included many keynoters and representatives from different types of alternatives such as Waldorf, Montessori, Reggio Emilia and public alternatives.

6. How to Grow a School Keynote Workshop, Ron Miller Moderator This was an immediate prelude to the school starters workshops and featured Zoe Readhead, Chris Mercogliano, Jerry Mintz, Ron Miller and others.

7. School Starters Workshops These two sessions dealt not only with philosophy, but with the nuts and bolts of started a school, including legal and financial questions answered by panelists.

8. C.T. Butler Consensus Workshops By popular request we taped the two sessions of almost four hours during which Butler outlines his concepts of consensus decision making process.

9. Zoe Readhead, Manny Bernstein Summerhill Workshop This was the follow up session to Zoe’s keynote, in which she elaborated on her responses, along with the experience that Manny Bernstein had at Summerhill and his research on the school.

10. Democratizing Montessori Workshops, Tim Seldin This was the culmination of several years discussion on this topic, with participants intent on democratizing their Montessoris. The panelists also included Amukta Mahapatra, who worked on democratizing her Montessori School, Abacus, in India.

11. Talent Show There was a lot of talent, music, poetry, dance and fun at this show and it showcased the wide variety of attendees at the conference.
